Colin Meades Rall plea bargained his case.
He received a 10-year sentence.
3-years were suspended for 5-years.

According to police sources, because of a prior offense of the same nature, he will probably serve 7-years before being considered for parole.

Colin Meads Rall has been apprehended by the police in Stellenbosch on Monday 1st October 2007.
He appeared in the Goodwood magistrates court on Wednesday 3rd, and again on Friday the 5th of October.

The matter has been postponed to 9 November 2007 for further investigation, and will be transferred to the Specialised Commercial Crime Court in Cape Town

He operated over a wide area of the Western Cape with victims in Pinelands, Stellenbosch, Worcester, Kuils River, Goodwood, Woodstock, Parow, Bellville, Cape Town and Wellington.
There are victims in other parts of the country (Mpumalanga) who paid to purchase a franchise, and reports of overseas IT companies who were defrauded.
Numerous companies, have also lost money on provision of services and loan of equipment that was never returned, which cannot be registered as criminal cases.

At the time of his arrest, he had been out on bail for approximately 4 months, on previous charges arising from several counts of cheque fraud in the Wellington area.

The Commercial Crime Unit of the police has been handling this cases centrally.
